Terminator insignia THE BESTIARY Terminator insignia

Beware the deviant! For they are creatures of impure lineage, of tentacles and cloven hooves! And they may be anywhere amongst us - maybe even your neighbour! But fear not, brothers and sisters, for help is at hand! Cast your eyes across The Bestiary and know who your aliens are...

Art by Sam Kieth NEMESIS

The Arch Deviant himself! Hailing from the planet Gandarva in the Nether Worlds, The Warlock is the leader of the alien freedom fighters known as Credo, and has been a continual thorn in the side of the Grand Master. However, no one is quite sure if his motivations are truly in the spirit of aiding fellow aliens. They may lay in a more Khaotic direction...

Art by Sam Kieth CHIRA
The beloved wife of Nemesis was hidden away from The Terminator forces, until her rival for Nemesis' affections, Manga, betrayed her location to Torquemada. The Grand Master dispatched a sqaud of assassins to slay the Warlock and her offspring Thoth. However, they only succeeded in killing Chira, but not before she passed on her magical powers to her son...

Art by Bryan Talbot THOTH

The offspring of Nemesis, Thoth was bestowed the additional powers of his mother, and used them to fool one of the Terminator assassins into thinking he was a human baby. Thoth was returned to Termight, where the Terminator and his wife cared for him, until the young Warlock was old enough to begin exacting his revenge on the two people he held responsible for the death of his mother: Nemesis and Torquemada...

Art by Kevin O'Neill GROBBENDONK
The former familiar of the mad Warlock Baal, Grobbendonk quickly changed his allegiance to Nemesis after helping the young Warlock avoid being drugged by his uncle. The blood drinking alien acted as messenger for Nemesis on many occasions, but met his fate at the hands of Manga, after she swallowed him whole. Grobbendonk spoke Gibberish, a Fringe World dialect.

Art by Kevin O'Neill SETH

The notorious Blitzspear driven by Nemesis, Seth is in fact a living creature. Encased in the dense star metal known as Tcham, Seth, like all Blitzspears, sheds his outer layer of skin every century, leaving behind a silver fleece behind, which is highly prized by The Terminators for use as armour.

Art by Kevin O'Neill BAAL
A noted sorcerer and diabolist, Baal has long since been banished to a remote planet in the Fringe Worlds by the Cabal for controversial experiments on human prisoners. His life's work was to discover the essence of human evil, but many found his methods too extreme (his plan for a five-yearly cull, for instance). However, his exile didn't stop his experiments. With the help of his familiar, Grobbendonk, his chair, Henry, and his skull, Yorick, he continues his search...

Art by Bryan Talbot MANGA
Obsessed with Nemesis, Manga tried (and failed) to best Chira in single combat, and claim the hoof of the Warlock she loved. She took it upon herself to secretly contact Torquemada and reveal the whereabouts of Nemesis' wife and newborn son, and after they were dead, lay in wait until the time was right for her to make her move. She cast a spell over Nemesis that made him fall in love with her and ignore the war with the humans However, she let her psychic defence slip on their wedding day, allowing Nemesis to see into her mind, and discover what she had done...

Art by Jesus Redondo ZELOTES
The gentle caretaker of the prison planet of Arachnos, Zelotes was kidnapped by the fanatical Brother Baruda, while he and his wife Skyta travelled to meet The Cabal. Zelotes was eventually killed so the phantom Torquemada could possess his body and cause full scale war between humans and aliens.

Art by Kevin O'Neill SPACE ADMIRAL BEATTY (a.k.a. THE ION DUKE)
The head of The Gothic Empire's military forces, Beatty was reluctant to enter war with The Terminators, and for a long time refused the help of Nemesis. When the conflict was finally over, Beatty finally realised that The Empire needed to enhance their weaponry if they were to survive.

Art by Kevin O'Neill RAGNAR
Ragnar was once a dignified inhabitant of his home planet, until The Terminators came. Captured, chained and beaten, Ragnar and several other aliens were cast into The Alien Pit, until his escape during The Feast of Zamarkand instigated by his old friend Nemesis. Ragnar is currently the Minister for Alien Affairs in the government of President Purity Brown.

Art by Kevin O'Neill N'KOGNITO

A huge, three eyed, invisible alien (only recognisable by his wristbands and harness), N'Kognito The Gulu was a fearsome and mighty warrior, even more so with his gris, Black Mamba. N'Kognito was captured by The Terminators, and held until Nemesis instigated the mass alien breakout at the celebrations of The Feast of Zamarkand.

It was during this outbreak that he stole a most stylish coat from a dead Terminator.

Art by Clint Langly LILITH
A young Warlock who caught Nemesis in her spell, and kept him from returning to Termight for his final confrontation with Torquemada.

Art by Bryan Talbot URSA BEATTY & COLONEL STARBLOWER

Members of the Hell-Fire Club, a secret society of Young Goths determined to overthrow the current regime, Ursa Beatty (daughter of Space Admiral Beatty) and her lover, Colonel Starblower, entered a pact with Torquemada to gain full control over The Gothic Empire in return for helping him assassinate Queen Victoria. After agreeing to help the Grand Master find a new and permanant body, she double-crossed him, not realising Torquemada had already planned for such an outcome...

Art by Simon Bisley THE MONAD

A creature inadvertantly created by Torquemada's purification plants situated at the end of the world, The Monad was a huge mind cloud of electro-magnetic energy, an evil intelligence, twisted by the pain of purification - the quintessence of human evil.

This horror escaped into the Time Wastes, and tried to ensure that Thoth's plan to destroy Terra would succeed; it would feed on the energy surge created, and grow into an unstoppable force, powerful enough to ride the winds of Khaos, and make it a force wholly for evil...

Art by Kevin O'Neill KREMLIN

The sinister Yologs were a small, violent alien race, led by the impossibly polite Kremlin. After being captured by The Terminators, Kremlin led his fellow prisoners to freedom during the mass breakout at The Feast of Zamarkand instigated by Nemesis. It came as a surprise to both aliens to be fighting on the same side for once.
